How to draw Mother and Daughter

Step 1:

    Initially start with the main outline figure. Use either small coin or compass whichever you feel comfortable and draw a circle for head of mother and daughter. You can use any darker graphite pencil but initially for construction lines it’s good to use light pencil with thin rough lines so the pencil impressions shouldn’t be there in paper and it will be easier for you to erase construction line after complete figure.

Draw a straight vertical line exactly from center of the circle for both mom and daughter circles.

Step 2:

    Proceed from circle with small L shape curve line for neck and shoulder part. And now draw a mid horizontal line for dress partition and from that mid line draw curve line from both the right and left ends pointing up and down direction. Then you can start a sleeve part draw a curvey L shaped line as a mom holding daughter .

Step 3:

    Here we do hair shading and this is the main highlight of the picture this shading techniques we will be using in every pencil drawing. You have already drawn a circle for head in that big circle make a small circle and start shading from bottom of the circle with gentle thin pencil strokes. Strokes should be like starting with thick lines and end with thin lines using pencil and pencil should be very sharp only then you will get detained hair strokes. So follow the same whole bottom circle and end in the mid of the circle, then start strokes form the top of the circle in same pattern like we have done in bottom start with thick stroke line and end with  thin stroke lines and you will get the perfect hair shade. Use same tricks for both mom and daughter hair.

    Let’s end up with legs drawing here we draw a slanting line like x cross and end with the shoe do the same for both mom and daughter.
